Birch Trees In The Snow
How about making something that portrays the current season? In my art piece today, I have made a painting of birch trees in the snow to represent the beauty of winter. Unlike regular paintings, this isn’t acrylic paint on a canvas, this is watercolour on a canvas. I decided to use this medium so that the colours blended in more easily and so that the whole painting turns out nice and subtle. I used many things to make this including watercolour, a canvas, a paintbrush, salt for the falling snow in the sky, masking tape to keep the trees white while painting and of course, a black fine tip pen for the signature. I especially like how my sky has various blended colours to give a sort of Northern Lights feel and how my birch trees look very neat and bold in comparison to the background. In addition, I am proud how I was able to add perspective by making some trees look nearby and some farther away. The pristine snow is what inspired me to make this. I hope you like this artwork and that your surroundings inspire you to make something too!
