My latest endeavor has been participating in my school’s Musical Theatre Production. This year’s show is “Freaky Friday,” a wholesome tale of a mother and daughter swapping bodies and learning to love and respect each other. I have learned so much from the dynamic process of putting on a musical. I applied my confidence, excitement, and experience with public speaking in my singing audition, after which I was cast as “Torrey,” the mom’s assistant. Every class is a chance to learn something new. I have balanced set painting, choreography, singing in harmony, and learning to piece everything together for a performance in front of the public. The perfect show is a perfect mix of these components, continuous collaboration amongst cast and crew, and a dash of confidence.
More updates to come after the shows!
